Recipes using White Cake Mix
White cake mix is a ready made cake mix used for baking cakes and cookies. Cake mixes provide an easy option for cooks who are either pressed for time or are relatively inexperienced bakers.

A cake mix is made from flour, baking powder, fat (butter or margarine), sugar. The baker only needs to add eggs and flavor. There are a variety of cake mixes available that one can use to make mouth-watering aromatic cakes. Following are some recipes using white cake mix.
Summer Poke Cupcakes
Ingredients
- White cake mix, 2-layer size 1 package
- Any red flavor dry gelatin, 4 serving size 1 package
- Thawed whipped topping, 8 ounce
- Boiling water, 1 cup
Using the cake mix, prepare the batter as directed on its package for cupcakes. Set in cupcake pans for 10 minutes. Mix boiling water into dry gelatin until it gets dissolved and spoon over the cupcakes. Refrigerate for another half an hour and remove from cupcake pans. Spread whipped topping over the cupcakes and add decorations as desired.
Butter Cashews Cookies
Ingredients
- White cake mix, 18 ounce
- Eggs, 2
- Brown sugar, ¼ cup
- Meted butter, ½ cup
- Vanilla, 1 tsp
- Salted cashew pieces, 1 cup
- Milk chocolate chips, 1 cup
- Butterscotch chips, ½ cup
- Flour, ½ tsp
- Cooking spray
Preheat the oven to 350° F. In a large bowl, add the cake mix with eggs, brown sugar, butter and vanilla. Beat on low speed until all ingredients are well blended. Spray the baking pan with cooking spray and flour. Pour and spread batter onto a cookie pan and sprinkle with the cashews, milk chocolate and butterscotch chips. Bake the cookies at 350° F for 25-30 minutes until the toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool on a wire rack for 30-45 minutes.
Cookies and Cream Cake
Ingredients
- White cake mix, 18 ounces
- Eggs, 2
- Coarsely crushed creme-filled chocolate sandwich cookies, 1 cup
- Oil of fat, ¼ cup
- Water, 1¼ cup
- Vanilla frosting, 16 ounces
Pre-heat the oven to 350° F. In a large bowl, beat the cake mix with eggs, oil and water at a low speed until well blended. Spoon in crushed cookies and pour batter into a greased pan. Bake until the toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Place it on a wire rack and let it cool completely. Spread the vanilla frosting over the cake.
Cake Mix Cinnamon Rolls
Ingredients
- White cake mix, 14 ounces
- Active dry yeast, 0.25 ounces
- All purpose flour, 4½
- Softened butter, ½ cup
- Melted butter, ¼ cup
- Granulated sugar, ⅓ cup
- Brown sugar, ½ cup
- Ground cinnamon , 2 tsp
- Warm water, 2½ cup
In a small bowl, dissolve the yeast in warm water and let it stand until creamy. In a large bowl, mix the dissolved yeast with cake mix and 3 cups of flour; blend well. Keep adding the remaining flour, little at a time, stirring well after each addition. On a lightly-floured surface, knead the dough until it becomes smooth and elastic. In a large bowl, place the dough and coat it with oil. Cover with a damp cloth and let it rise in a warm place until doubled.
Punch down the dough and roll it into a 10×16-inch rectangle baking dish. Spread the softened butter over the baking dish and sprinkle brown sugar and cinnamon onto it. Starting from one long side, roll up the rectangle and cut into 1-inch wide rolls.
In a small bowl add melted butter and in another bowl, mix granulated sugar with brown sugar and ground cinnamon. Dip the top of each roll in the melted butter and then in the sugar mixture. Place the rolls into the greased pan and cover the rolls with a damp cloth, let it rise until doubled in volume. Bake in the pre-heated oven at 375° F, until the rolls are golden. Serve rolls with rich flavored cream.
Using a white cake mix makes it convenient and saves time in baking cakes and cookies. It saves one with the trouble of purchasing ingredients in small quantities. And with all that saved time, you could bake more and receive more compliments.
